This building was once Phippen’s Photography Studio. Before the mass production of cameras, getting your photo taken was a very special occasion, it might be the only photo you ever take in your life!

This building also housed M. Box and Son Furniture Store. The funeral business was also operated from this building by Marshall Box and his son T. Lawrence Box, as during this time most funerals were conducted from homes and churches. In 1947, Lawrence built an addition onto the family home on Broad Street and relocated the business there some time after, where it is still located today.

In 1998, the building was sold to Dr. Ron Wagner, who moved his chiropractor office here from its previous location in the Parkhill Centre Plaza.
