Town Hall
Many may remember this building as the Town Hall, but it was actually first built as a Post Office.
Parkhill has had postal service since July 1st, 1860. At that time, the town was named Westwood. The post office was located at a few different places, but was eventually moved to this site after a new building was constructed in 1909. Postal service ran out of the building until 1968, when the current post office building was built down the street on the plot of the original town hall.
When this shift was made, the building on this plot was repurposed into the Parkhill Town Hall, and after amalgamation in 2001, the North Middlesex Municipal Office. The century old building began to show its age, and in 2015 the new municipal office and library were built. The old town hall was torn down shortly after.
