Evaluation Timeline Information
Teachers should receive a copy of the ME-TIME Evaluation Policy at the beginning of each school year.
October 31st: NLAG should be turned into your building Principal or designee.
Following each formal (long) observation, documentation will be provided by the evaluator within 5 working days. This can include information provided by the teacher for documentation purposes.
Once the entire evaluation is completed, information/ documentation will be provided to the teacher by the evaluator within 7 working days.
Teachers will be notified of their post-observation conference(s) before the submission of the final, summative evaluation is placed in their permanent file.
Post-observation conference(s) held before submission of summative evaluation.
The conclusion of the first semester: all certified staff members will have one observation completed.
May 17th: Observations should be concluded by the evaluator.
Negative Documentation
Potentially negative information intended to be placed within the permanent file must be discussed and initialed by the teacher.
Rebuttal of Documentation
Teachers have the right to attach a letter of rebuttal on their evaluation within 5 working days of the post-observation conference.
Observations:
Short (10 minutes)
Long (40 minutes)
Observations should be concluded by May 17th of the school year.
Your North Lawrence Achievement Goal (NLAG) should be turned into your building Principal or designee by October 31st of the school year.
First year teachers: Will receive a short and long observation prior to the end of the first semester and an additional two "walk-throughs" each quarter of that semester. They will also receive a short and long observation second semester (prior to May 17th).
Established teachers: Will receive a short and long observation (prior to May 17th)
