Who is Nilsa Laine ?
Nilsa graduated from Bryant University in December '23. She graduated with Honors, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Politics + Law and Global Studies. Since graduating, she has worked as a long-term substitute for 6th grade at Wilbur Cross in Bridgeport, CT. Following that, she began her career in higher education as a Community Director in Res Life at her alma mater.
In her post-grad era, Nilsa has experienced tremendous personal growth. She was granted the opportunity to share her honors thesis, "Undergraduate Experiences of Black Women at PWI Campuses," at The 2024 Sadie T.M. Alexander Conference for Economics and Related fields (SACE), and Bridgeport Film Festival 2024.
One of her biggest personal achievements is pursuing her long-time passion for the arts by starting photography as a hobby that has become a part-time venture. She claims the title of "student of life," hoping to share all she learns with what's to come.
She aspires to be a sociocultural anthropologist!
