AI Mediation & Pluralistic Exploration

【智慧中介、多元探索】

In the post-AI era, rapid technological evolution and innovation is bringing a huge challenge to our teaching and academic research. To cope with issues arising from the ever-changing educational and academic environment, one way for us to remain unchanged amid on-going changes is to develop pluralistic teaching approaches and establish the AI-mediated models for foreign language teaching and translation studies. We can seek AI-mediated applications and pluralistic explorations, investigating how they impact our pedagogical approaches, how they help enhance our educational quality, and how they innovate the way we translate. To attain the goal, we are scheduled to host the 2021 International Academic Conference on Foreign Languages and Translation—AI Mediation and Pluralistic Exploration. We sincerely invite all educational colleagues, scholars and experts to present your research findings, empirical experiments and teaching experiences addressing the conference themes and subthemes at our conference. Your paper presentations on other topics relating to foreign languages and translation are also welcome. Your contributions would help us gather multiple perspectives, generate innovative views and inject a new momentum into our educational and academic domains.

In the future educational and academic settings replete with turbulent challenges, stand-alone research and teaching within a single field will find it difficult to make significant breakthroughs. Only by integrating diverse epistemological resources from different disciplines can we develop the pluralistic models for teaching foreign languages and studying translation. We can also upgrade our AI-mediated studies to explore how it impacts our education of languages and translation and so open up a new chapter in Taiwan’s academic research. The nourished, blending and flourishing impacts of educational pluralism and AI-mediated academic innovations would lead us to move into a new century of Taiwan's academic studies and language education.

後AI時代，快速的科技演進與創新帶給我們教學與學術研究巨大的挑戰，為了因應持續多變的教育與學術環境所衍生的種種問題，不變應萬變的做法就是尋求多元的教學方法、創造多元價值，並嘗試使用AI中介提出跨域整合的研究模式，我們可以尋求AI中介之各種應用與多元探索，以瞭解AI如何影響教學方法、如何幫助提升教學品質、如何革新我們的翻譯方式。有鑑於此，外語學院2021年的國際學術研討會以【智慧中介、多元探索】為主題，誠摯邀請所有教育界的同事、學者和專家貢獻所學，針對會議主題和子題(見下方)發表您的研究成果、實驗和教學經驗，其他外語和翻譯主題的論文也歡迎投稿。您的論文發表將幫助我們匯集多元觀點、產生創新的觀點，並為我們當前的教育和學術領域注入新動能。

在未來充滿動蕩的教育和學術環境中，只在單一領域中獨鬥將很難尋求重大突破。只有整合各種知識資源和不同學科的觀點，我們才能發展出多元、跨學科的語言教學和翻譯模型。我們還可以升級AI中介研究，探索它如何影響我們的語言和翻譯教育，從而為台灣的學術研究開闢新的篇章。教育多元化和AI輔助學術創新的滋養、共融和共榮影響之下，必可帶領我們進入新世紀的台灣學術研究和教育領域。
