There is a huge problem of plastics in New Jersey. NJ residents use 4.4 billion single-use plastic bags and 1,300 football fields of trees worth of paper bags every year (NJNoPlastic). Enter: New Jersey Youth Beyond Plastics. We aim to preserve the natural beauty of New Jersey for generations to come by empowering the youth of New Jersey to take action against plastic pollution and promote sustainable practices within their communities. Through education, advocacy, and hands-on initiatives, our mission is to raise awareness about the environmental impacts of plastics and inspire young leaders to drive positive change for a cleaner, healthier future.
