This session provides the annual review of the state of Computer Science in New Jersey and will feature remarks from Governor Phil Murphy. Information will be provided on the CS4NJ Coalition, New Jersey Department of Student Computer Science Support and Initiatives, and the New Jersey CSTA Chapter. The Rutgers team will also deliver opening remarks on the Summit and its goals and logistic information.

2020 and 2021 have forced this country to face many hard truths. However, the inequities and inequalities we've witnessed over the last 1.5 years are not new. This talk first challenges educators to reflect on their (in)action with respect to creating more equitable and inclusive environments for students and colleagues from diverse identities, then identify how they can move forward with intention.
