I am wondering if it might be worthwhile to obtain a wrist pulse oximeter that records data while I sleep to see what effect it is having on oxygen saturation. Examples of these devices are the Innovo 50F and the MTS OX610A (see links below). I realize these are not prescription medical grade devices, but do you think they might be able to provide useful data.

You could certainly purchase one of those devices, but I can't speak to the validity/reliability of the device (they are probably fine). An easy alternative would be for me to order overnight oximetry through the Clinic (Cardiopulmonary dept) which will give nice valid info a a likely significantly lower price.
Prevent sleeping on my back
