I live in California and have a deep passion for creating art! As a senior in high school, I’ve had the opportunity to explore various mediums, including ceramics, digital design, and photography. I started with digital design in my freshman year and then shifted to photography and ceramics in my sophomore year. By junior year, I decided to take AP Photography and advanced ceramics because of how much I enjoyed them. I even went on to complete a third year of ceramics, my senior year! In ceramics, I was able to push my creative boundaries and experiment with different techniques, creating pieces that truly challenged my skills with clay. Towards the end of junior year, I created one of my favorite pieces that tied with my passion for activism and my identity, which ended up becoming part of a theme for my senior year. During AP Photography, we were asked to choose a theme for our entire portfolio. I decided to focus on capturing the beauty of Muslim and Palestinian culture through my photos. As a Muslim Palestinian myself, this portfolio holds a special place in my heart, and these images tell a personal story about my identity and culture that means so much to me. I hope you enjoy my portfolio!
