What a wonderful day we had at Princeton University!

Our morning began with a guided tour at Firestone Library, for <Nursery of Rebellion: Princeton & the American Revolution> (革命的搖籃：普林斯頓與美國獨立革命）.  This well-designed exhibition was created to commemorate the 250th anniversaries of American independence and the Battle of Princeton.

One of the many inspiring discoveries we had today started even before we entered the exhibition hall.  It was the story of James Collins Johnson.  A photo of Johnson was highlighted on a display near the entrance to Firestone Library.  Johnson worked as a janitor at Nassau Hall and was affectionately known as “the students’ friend”.  When he passed away in 1902, he was buried in Princeton Cemetery, just a few feet from some of the nation’s most prominent historical figures, including John Witherspoon, Princeton’s sixth president and a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Before ending our visit of Firestone Library, we were delighted to find <Tiger Crossing the Delaware>, a playful paper-collage version of the famous *Washington Crossing the Delaware* painting. It was humorous, creative, and full of Princeton spirit.

It was simply a joy to spend a beautiful day together—learning something new, sharing conversations, and enjoying each other's company.
