Stays healthy and active
The New Jersey Living Well Club (NJ LWC) is a vibrant community of retired Taiwanese Americans living in New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. Our members come from diverse professional backgrounds—including engineering, academia, business, medicine, and more—and are united by a shared commitment to health, friendship, and lifelong learning. Many have lived and worked in the U.S. for over 40 years.
Since our founding on April 3, 2013, we’ve gathered weekly to connect, grow, and have fun. Each week, around 75 members attend a 75-minute seminar led by guest experts on a variety of engaging topics. Our meetings also include time for sharing life experiences, playing games like bridge and chess, enjoying movies and karaoke, learning arts and crafts, practicing Tai Chi and line dancing, and taking occasional cultural day trips to museums, gardens, and galleries.
The Club initially held its weekly gatherings at the Taiwanese American Fellowship Presbyterian Church (TAFPC), located at 100 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. Starting March 1, 2017, the Club moved to its current location at Somerset Presbyterian Church (SPC), 100 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Somerset, NJ 08873.
At NJ LWC, we believe that staying mentally, physically, and socially healthy and active leads to a more joyful and fulfilling retirement.
The mission of the Living Well Club is simple yet meaningful:
To promote social interaction and good fellowship among Taiwanese American retirees
To provide a centrally located, easily accessible gathering place for those living in New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania
To enrich members’ lives by staying mentally and physically active—leading to greater health, happiness, and overall well-being
