RFID-Based Smart Meal Payment System
Many institutions and organizations face challenges with inefficient and time-consuming meal payment processes. Traditional methods, such as cash transactions or manual verification, often lead to long queues, delayed service, and difficulties in tracking payments. This not only reduces convenience for users but also increases the risk of errors, fraud, and poor financial record-keeping. An efficient, secure, and automated solution is needed to streamline meal payments, improve user experience, and ensure accurate financial management.

from the above problem, we have decided to build the solution using electronics and programming. We have started this process and research, where we gathered the materials, like the components we needed for starting
components used :
esp32 and esp8266: those are microcontrollers that control the overflow of the money and allow us to connect them to Wi-Fi
breadboard: We used this to connect the wires with the devices
cards and tags: we used the tags and cards that are embedded with a microchip used to store the user data and to receive the information
mfrc522: This is the card reader that reads and writes the information on the card. The amazing fact is that when we add or remove money on the card, the card reader charges it using the current induction methods.
Cardboard for packaging: because it was our first product, we used the cardboard for fast prototyping
We used Python and its framework Django to connect and get the logs of the students for easy monitoring of the students' logs and so on.
This combination of electronics, programming, and a database system enables a fast, secure, and automated meal payment process that improves efficiency and transparency.

From the early time of March, after gathering the materials, we started building. We have spent different nights without sleeping and learning how to code, how the cards can communicate with the database and the backends
i had mentor who helped me a lot with my colleague he help us in the course called Darho Program where we studied how this all works so we back on the projects and build it as shown here on the picture i was testing if the card is being seen with the computer and to see if the information can move from the card to the reader for removing money

The RFID-based Smart Meal Payment System reflects my commitment to solving real-world problems through innovation, electronics, and programming.
