What is literature?

For me literature was only the thing which is in the written form. For me it was a mirror to society, but after studying literature thoroughly I realized that Literature is far more deeper than I thought. Literature used to clean our mind and thought. It helps us to see beyond whatever we see. As a result we got a new perspective to see the world.

Moving further, there are a lot of metaphors for literature. But I would like to give the metaphor of Ventilator to Literature. Now there is one question: how can we compare Ventilator with literature? How Ventilator work? Ventilator is a machine that helps us take breaths if we can't do it on our own. It is also called Mechanical Ventilation It mechanically helps pump Oxygen into our body. Similarly Literature is a Ventilator to our soul and mind. When there is hopelessness like Vladimir it helps to find meaning in meaningless life. When we are in the darkness literature helps us to come out from it. It works to provide oxygen to our mind and soul to be alive mentally. Ventilators used to provide Oxygen to our body, literature used to provide positive thinking to our mind when there is a crisis. When we break mentality (not physically) and just live like a dead body, at that time literature helps to provide Oxygen to our soul and mind and keep it alive. When we feel anxiously Literature helps us to give positive vibes.

Ventilators help to supply oxygen to our lungs, similarly Literature helps to supply a light into our mind, it helps us to see our own darkside.
