All My Sons
ALL MY SONS – is a play written by Arthur Miller inspired by the events of World War II and the true to life story of a woman who alerted authorities of her fathers wrong-doings.
It also reminds us the Philosophical suicide. Arthur Miller's this play had a concept of Guilt, wrong doings, corruption, selfishness. It also shows that at the time of World war too many people were thinking just about themselves like Joe Keller. The story is about a successful businessman in the world war. He has failed to fulfill his social and moral obligations to society due to his lust for money.
It gives me a lesson that one decision can destroy so many lives as well as our own life also. Because of Guilt Joe Keller committed suicide, we can also say that he has no answers to give and no solution, as a result he committed suicide.
Othello
Othello is one of the most famous plays by William Shakespeare. What moral lessons can we learn from the play Othello? Its lessons seem to be summed up in the few and simple words: "Thou shall not lie": "To thine own self be true." Every character in the play suffers because of each other. Because of jealousy, greed, dishonesty, sudden reaction all are suffering.
Jealousy makes people so cruel and blind that they can't see beyond it. The character of Othello taught us to not be jealous.
Novel
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
It is a scientific and psychological thriller by Robert Louis Stevenson. We all have two sides, one is known to only us and one is known to everyone. The play is probably trying to show the conflict between our own self.
The Bluest Eyes
'The Bluest Eyes' is a novel by Toni Morrison, which explores the conflict and racism between black and white. The unconscious desire to be white and beautiful led Pecora to a desire for a blue eye. An excellent read - hard hitting and dares society to dismantle the misconceived notions of racial beauty. Tackles issues of self-loathing when one doesn't fit societal standards of what is considered beautiful and abuse against women.
