SPRING QUALIFIERS ON SATURDAY, MARCH 29TH, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ NORTHSIDE ACTIVITY CENTER
Esports is a competitive gaming medium where players challenge each other in various game types and modes. Northside ISD offers intramural esports competition in Fighting, Racing, Sports, and Strategy games approved by the district leadership and School Board.
Most NISD campuses have an esports sponsor / coach who will offer team practice times before or after school, and help students sign up for and guide them to participate in intramural competitions. Students participating in competitions must be passing all classes at the time of the competition.
All competitions will take place at the Northside Activity Center (7001 Culebra Rd). Qualifier sign-ups will open at least 15 days prior to the date of the competition.
Fall Qualifiers: Competition on Saturday, November 16th, sign-ups open Friday, November 1st
Spring Qualifiers: Competition on Saturday, March 29th, sign-ups open Monday, March 3rd
On qualifier days, Middle School students will compete from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and High School students from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Placement in Championship competitions will be determined by performance during qualifiers. Not all students or teams will be invited to compete in Championships, but all students, parents and other members of the Northside community are welcome to attend as members of the audience.
