2025 Open Division Lottery

Per NIRSA National Soccer Page for the Open Division Lottery.

The Open Division will be once again selected through a lottery system. Any team with membership in a NIRSA-affiliated league or minimum of four games played prior to the National Championships qualified to enter the lottery for their region.

Open Division Registration Information:

Lottery Draw Date: October 8 at 9am PST / 12pm EST.

Registration Period: From 6:00am PST on Monday, September 22 to 11:59pm PST on Sunday, September 28 via IMLeagues.

Lottery Details: Four teams per region will be selected through a lottery. Remaining teams will be waitlisted in order.

Payment Deadline: Selected teams must complete registration and payment by October 14 at 5:00pm PST.

Regional Slot Allocation: If fewer than four teams register in a region by the deadline, remaining slots will be allocated to waitlisted teams from other regions.

Lottery Participation Conditions: Teams that fail to complete registration within 6 days after selection will not be eligible for the 2026 Lottery. Only committed teams with financial means to attend should register.

Roster Deadline: All players must be listed on your team’s IMLeagues roster and must complete all required forms within the platform.

Verification: Enrollment verification forms, require signatures from players, the Sport Club Director, and the University Registrar, will be available to fill out by October 8th.

Eligibility: Universities may enter one team per division. Teams must be NIRSA-affiliated or have played a minimum of four games prior to Nationals.
