“A good teacher is like a candle—it consumes itself to light the way for others.”
Teachers’ Day is celebrated on 5th September in India to honor Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. It recognizes the dedication and contribution of teachers in shaping students’ lives. Students express gratitude through activities, remembering teachers as guides who inspire knowledge, values, and a better future.
In our department, a virtual Teachers’ Day celebration is organized every year, during which students are required to create an academic video presentation. In this video, each student selects a literary genre—such as a novel, short story, or poem—and explains its themes, structure, and significance. Additionally, students must prepare a multiple-choice questionnaire using Google Forms to assess understanding. Both the video and the MCQ activity are then uploaded to platforms like YouTube and TED-Ed for wider accessibility and engagement. Participants who attempt the quiz are awarded an e-certificate, which is provided by the students themselves.
