Assessment Method
Two stages of assessment are employed
Stage 1
Modular based assessment
Formative Assessments- (Module based continuous assessments)
Summative Assessment - (Written/Practical Examination)
Stage 2
The viva-voce, conducted by an assessment panel nominated by TVEC, is a mandatory part of the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) for Level 5 and 6 courses

QUALIFICATIONS UPGRADING PATHWAYS
GPA of a module
Eligibility to sit/appear to Summative assessment/final exam
Requirements to be fulfilled by the student to obtain the qualification for NVQ Level 5 and 6 programs:
Credit requirements
Level 5: Requires to complete a minimum of 60 credits, equating to 1,500 notional hours
Level 6: Requires to complete a minimum of 120 credits, equating to 3,000 notional hours.
FGPA (Final Grade Point Average)
Completion of required training
(Three months of on-the-job training is required upon completion of both the NVQ Level 5 and NVQ Level 6 programs, respectively)
Note: one credit is equivalent to 25 notional hours which include class room teaching, tutorials, assignment, projects, on the job training and self study
Requirements for the Final Certificate and results transcripts:
All outstanding payments must be fully settled.
All borrowed library books must be returned to the library.
Any liabilities brrowed from NIPM

Academic Concession
Candidates are permitted to sit the examination of the repeated or absent subjects with in the next 05 academic years(Batches) only (He/ She is permitted to sit for the examination without attending the lecture sessions if he /she intents to complete the repeated subjects after 05th academic year he or she should register as a new student and follow the entre course and sit for the examinations of all the modules.
In case of any change in syllabus/curriculum it is the responsibility of the candidates to sit for the examinations which are prepared based on the amended syllabus.
students who were will be charged based on the number unable sit for the examination or failed the examination are allowed the sit for the repeat exam. Additional payment will be charged based on the number of papers.

No any grade " Pass" will be offered to candidates who fail to complete all the modules during the academic year in which he/she registered follow the course.
if a candidate fails to sit for a modular examination or a component due to an acceptable reason as indicated below. he/she is permitted to sit for that particular examination with in the following two two academic years (batches) without making any additional payment. further he/she will be offered the grade according to the marks obtained.
