Kirby's Dream Glide will be a very unique "hang glider" style flat ride with a big gimmick of half the rotation being outdoors. The ride uses a traditional off-the-shelf "Cliffhanger" model of flat ride and places it within an immersive show building with the ceiling cut off just wide enough for riders to rotate up out of the building and get views of the rest of Nintendoland on every cycle. This main selling point is used both as a way to distinguish the attraction from a traditional flat ride and also to add some kinetic energy to the land.
As guests approach the tented exterior, the sight of riders on their stomachs rotating out of the tent's roof definitely serves as a weenie to draw riders to the attraction. The queue is a pretty simple "sideshow tent" set up mostly consisting of switchbacks. Throughout the corners of the main queue room there are various posters for different Kirby characters performing circus acts.
Kirby on a tight rope
King Dedede as the strong man
Meta Knight juggling swords
Bandana Waddle Dee as a lion tamer
The main ride area is themed to the backstage of a circus, where guests can also get glimpses of the four main stars in their dressing rooms. These rooms can be seen as riders rotate in and out of the ceiling, so keeping an eye on the four very simple AA characters inside their rooms becomes visually challenging yet adds a great layer of re-rideability.
The main structure of the ride appears as a giant mechanical star with a dozen smaller stars on the sides for up to four riders a piece to position themselves on their stomachs to simulate a famous Kirby air ride. As the ride is happening in addition to being able to look out for the different dressing rooms a variety of different fog, lighting, and projection effects will give the inside of the tent its namesake "dream" appearance. The lighting and projections change from ride to ride, adding another layer of replay value.
