I sketch to remember, to pause, to notice, and mostly to lose myself in the joy of creating.
From bustling streets and quiet corners to everyday objects that catch my eye, my art is a collection of my experiences.
I love experimenting with different mediums and surfaces — watercolour, gouache, acrylic, leather, wood and whatever else sparks my curiosity.
Welcome to my little gallery. I hope something here makes you pause, smile or see the ordinary a little differently.
Sketching on location, also known as urban sketching, is wonderfully spontaneous. There’s an exhilarating energy to capturing a scene in front of you. As you become absorbed in your subject, the surrounding sounds fade into a gentle hum, leaving you enveloped in an unexpected sense of peace. It’s both exhilarating and deeply meditative. No erasers, no endless revisions, no striving for perfection. The lines are loose, sometimes unpredictable, and full of life. You learn to embrace mistakes, trust your instincts and go with the flow. What remains is an honest record of a moment in time. Not necessarily perfect, but deeply personal.

I love experimenting with different surfaces and formats — from textured leather and reclaimed wood to round sketchbooks and miniature canvases. Each brings its own character and challenges, inviting me to explore new ways of creating. I call it play!

Travel sketching has me slowing down and connecting more deeply with the people, places and culture of cities I visit. From the blue-washed streets of Morocco to the historic architecture of Dublin and the everyday bustle of cities around the world, my sketchbooks are filled with places I’ve paused to explore, and a treasure trove of memories!

You don’t need to be an artist to discover the joy of sketching.
Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or rediscovering a creative passion, I’d love to share the experience with you.
Come sketch with me — in a workshop, on a sketchwalk or somewhere further afield.
