A Message from our President

 I would like to start May's newsletter with a note of gratitude, you had faith in me to do this important job for the guild. I'm really enjoying it. One of the main reasons I joined the guild was to meet people with similar interests. For roughly 2 years I watched and observed this group but I kept some distance. Then I let my guard down and it was wonderful. I feel as if I'm really getting to know many of you. So If you are new and just watching for now that's perfect but my advice is raise your hand, put your name on the list for an event or committees , classes etc. it's lots of fun to jump in with both feet.

My family has always had the motto of "Stay Flexible" and I do. I have a small overnight bag packed at all times, ready for an adventure. The Shop Hops will be coming up soon and it would be fun to get a couple of cars to caravan to some great opportunities for browsing and adding to the stash. Let's try to get a group together for a day or 2 of new

adventures.

Please do not hesitate to ask questions if you are unsure or need a better understanding of some of the things that come up at the meeting. This guild seems to have a wealth of knowledge and seems everyone is

eager to share.

Nimble Thimbles is an active guild that contributes much to our Golden Strip community.

The guild meets the second Monday of each month at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mauldin. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. and includes a business meeting, Show and Share, and a monthly program.

Visitors are welcome, so bring a friend. There are lots of activities to become involved in. Just a few include: Secret Quilter, Strip Swap, Memory Challenge, Block of the Month, and lots of workshops.
