I am a fish biologist, with FELASA certificate in categories A-D. From my master studies in “Sustainable Management of Aquatic Environment” I developed an interest in the microbial ecology. My PhD research was focused on the composition, structure and ecophysiological role of the gut microbiome in marine fish species.

Currently, I am a Post-Doctoral Researcher working at Konstantinos Kormas lab at the University of Thessaly (Greece) with my research been focused on the microbiomes of multiple fish species and how the environmental and biological factors shape their microbiomes and whether and how they can be exploited for a more sustainable, safe, productive, and nutritious food production.

In addition, I serve as an Assistant Professor (fixed term) in the Department of Agriculture, Crop Production and Rural Environment, School of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Thessaly, where I teach the course Microbiology - ΒΚ1044 (4th semester).
