About me

Nikki Levering

I am currently a CIMI LabEx Postdoctoral researcher in the SARA team at LAAS and the RMESS team at IRIT (Toulouse, France), working on the project efficient scheduling and learning in a redundancy system.

During the years 2019-2023, I was a Ph.D. candidate at the Korteweg-De Vries Institute for Mathematics (University of Amsterdam). My Ph.D. was carried out under the supervision of Prof. dr. Sindo Núñez Queija, Prof. dr. Michel Mandjes and dr. ir. Marko Boon, and focused on the stochastic modeling and control of congestion phenomena, with a specific interest towards road traffic models. The project was part of the 10-year programme NETWORKS, which aims to address the pressing challenges posed by large-scale networks with the help of stochastics and algorithmics.

My research interests include stochastic networks and optimization, queueing theory, and operations research.
