The National Seminar
That is impressive academic collaboration! It is wonderful to see this teamwork between Nikita and Khushi Ravaiya on such a relevant contemporary topic.
Here is the combined summary of the event and their presentation in one paragraph:
On February 20, 2026, Nikita and Khushi Ravaiya co-presented their research paper at the National Seminar on "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat," held at Bahauddin Government Arts College, Junagadh. The seminar was organized in collaboration with the Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (KCG) and featured prominent keynote speakers like Dr. Jayendrasinh Jadav and Prof. Dr. Balvant Jani. Their joint paper, titled "Nation as Narration in Indian Cinema: A Comparative Postcolonial Study of RRR (2022) and Lagaan (2001) in Constructing National Unity," offered a deep analytical look at how popular Indian films use storytelling to build a sense of national identity. By examining these two major films through a postcolonial lens, they highlighted how cinematic narratives contribute to the idea of a unified India, making a valuable contribution to the seminar's theme of national excellence.
The National Seminar
On March 6-7, 2026, Nikita successfully presented her research paper at the National Seminar on "Science and Literature: Stimulant or Antagonist?" organized by the Departments of Chemistry and English at Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University in collaboration with KCG and HRDC, Saurashtra University. Her paper, titled "Madness or Non-Conformity? Gender, Social Morality, and Psychotherapeutic Healing in Dear Zindagi," explored the thin line between mental health struggles and social non-conformity. By analyzing the film through the lenses of gender and morality, she highlighted the importance of therapy as a tool for healing and self-discovery. This presentation, part of the RUSA Faculty Improvement Scheme, represents a significant academic contribution to the study of psychology within contemporary cinema.
