Institute: Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
Description: On the occasion of IISc open day (a day when students, science and technology enthusiasts, and the public have the opportunity to visit and explore different laboratories inside the IISc campus), we organized a "Kids Zone" under the banner of Science for Rural India (SFRI). In Kids-Zone, we demonstrate science experiments, attracting middle and high school students. I was part of the design and decoration team for the Kids-Zone organization, and I also showcased an experimental setup to demonstrate heat conduction in solids.
Duration: November 2021 to April 2022, (40 Hours)
Institute: Science for Rural India (SFRI)
Mode of teaching: Concept presentation, Experimental Model and Video Explanation
Description: SFRI is a student-led organization at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore with the aim of sharing scientific knowledge among students from rural areas. As a member of the content creation team, my responsibilities include performing several science-based activities, creating presentations, and producing videos to elucidate concepts. I chose activities 1 to 5 from the NCERT Science textbook (7th standard, chapter 4 - Heat) to explain the idea of temperature and its measurement. I recorded these activities and compiled a presentation to illustrate the concepts. This task required approximately 40 hours to complete.
