We offer most of the same services, but better prices as other mechanic shops in Ankeny, Iowa.

Oil changes
At Nicks Mobile Mechanics we offer four different oil change services
(Service includes: Oil (5qt) + oil filter, price may be subject to change due to more oil required in some cars)
High Mileage - $69.99
High Mileage is best for vehicles with over 80,000 miles on the odometer.
Conventional - $79.99
Conventional is recommended for basic/older engines that aren't performance engines. E.g. most cars older than 20 years.
Synthetic Blend - $89.99
Synthetic Blend is better than conventional, but still not as good as full Synthetic. It is better to use this oil when switching from conventional to full synthetic.
Full Synthetic - $99.99
Full Synthetic is the best oil on the market, because it lasts longer, reduces heat in the engine, and is better than the other oils.

Serpentine Belt replacement
Serpentine belts play a severe part in your cars, and without them, your vehicle won't work correctly. Your engine may overheat, your battery may die, and you'll lose power steering. All of which could severely damage your car, or even worse injure you.
But don't worry, we offer free inspections, and replace them if necessary.
Cost is valued by the price of the belt + a $10 labor fee.

Brake pad and shoe replacement
Don't want to wait for hours on end at a mechanic shop to get your brake pads or shoes replaced? Well, no need we also offer brake pad and shoe replacement for both disc and drum brake systems for both the front and rear sides of your car. You know it's time to replace your brakes when your car/truck squeaks when you press your brakes, or it takes a long time to come to a complete stop.

Air filter replacement
Is your car running rough? Does your air conditioning smell funny? These are signs your air filter needs to be replaced. It is important to replace your air filter or else your engine won't get air and could cause engine problems leading to problems worth more than an air filter costs.
Air filters are $34.99 each, most cars have 2, an engine air filter and a cabin air filter. Or both for 54.99

Battery Replacement
If your car doesn't start or needs to be jumpstarted, those are both signs you need a new car battery, luckily we have new batteries we can install into your car, with a 4-year warranty on it, so if it dies within the next 4 years, we will replace it for FREE!

Tire Rotation
Tire rotations are a key part of driving, if your car is rear or front-wheel drive, your tires will wear out improperly. We can rotate your tires pretty easily to keep them lasting as long as possible.

We also offer specialized services to cater to your other needs that we may not have listed, e.g. you want a cold air intake installed, if you don't have the tools, we do. Most specialized services are based on an hourly rate of $30/hour + parts cost.
