My name is Nick Schwab and I have lived in Reily Township for 47 years. My late wife Carol and I raised our four sons in Reily, and I continue to farm here. Carol and I were married for 51 years when she died. I have been blessed with 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
I have always been involved in Reily Township and Butler County. I have been honored to serve Reily as Reily Township Trustee for 34 years. I am also active in the Ohio Township Association and have served that organization in many different roles.
I have been a volunteer NREMT with the Reily Fire Department for 21 years, and a Lieutenant for the Reily Township Volunteer Life Squad for the past 19 years. I am an EMS Continuing Education Instructor for the state of Ohio and a member of the Society of Fire Service Instructors.
I am a member of the Butler County Trustee and Fiscal Officer Association and have been elected Vice President, President, and Executive Committeeman. I am also a past president of the Butler County Farm Bureau and of the Extension Support Committee, as well as a past member of the Butler County Emergency Management Association Executive Committee. I am one of four township officials elected statewide to the OTARMA Board. In 2017, I was elected to a third term on the OTARMA Board. I have served both as Vice-Chair and Chair, and I am now serving as Secretary of the OTARMA Board.
I was named Cooperator of the Year by Butler County Soil and Water Conservation District and Friend of Agriculture by Butler County Farm Bureau. I have also been granted honorary membership in the Reily High School Alumni Association.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from The Ohio State University, studied post-graduate classes at Miami University, and a graduate of the Ohio Township Association Leadership Academy. I am a member of St. Mary Parish in Oxford.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and attending cattle shows around the country.
