You can study abroad as earliest as your sophomore year or as late as your senior year. You may choose a semester or summer program. Whatever program you choose, it's never to early to start planning.

Schedule an appointment with the International Programs office to learn of Nichols' requirement.
Schedule an appointment with your advisor and communicate that you are planning to study abroad.
Schedule an appointment with the Registrar's office to understand credit transfer.
Reach out to Student Financial Services to understand your finances for studying abroad.
After completing steps 1 & 2, you may begin your application process.
Applications must be completed a month before the program's deadline.
Once you're approved to study abroad, make sure you check your emails regularly to complete any additional steps required by your program before their deadlines. (Please note that the International Programs office does not have access to the deadlines for the additional requirements, so it is important to stay on top of them!)
