About Me

I was an early childhood SPED major at Midwestern State University. I graduated from MSU with a special ed degree and have been subbing. My learning philosophy statement is that learning is a gift that cannot be wasted. I grew up in Wichita Falls, TX. I am connected to several teachers through my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram as a personal learning network.

I student taught at Overton Ray Elementary for my Fall 2019 semester. I helped teach at Tower elementary in the Spring of 2019 and helped teach at Zundy elementary in the Fall of 2018. I am a level 1 and 2 certified Google Educator and have been to a few teacher workshops. I am improving my classroom management and lesson plan making skills. I look forward to helping my future students grow.

This is a picture of my loving family at my high school graduation. We currently have two cats and two dogs. My mother, grandmother, my cousin and I watch a lot of movies. While my little brother, my father and I play and watch soccer. My father's side of the family is from Guanajuato, Mexico and my mothers side of the family lived in Wichita Falls, TX. I decided to become a special education teacher in order to help students who have the ability to learn but just need the right teachers in order to help them do so.

I have attended some flipped staff meetings. I am familiar with conference style DSD and have communicated with other educators using Google Hangouts before. I have also been enrolled in classes that are connected classroom campuses before. I have collaborated with some of my classmates and professors online in the past.

I was involved in the MSU branch of the CEC. CEC stands for the Council for Exceptional Children and they are dedicated to helping advanced the success of students with exceptionalities. I was it's senator for their MSU branch. I went to their convention last year in Tampa, Florida as one of MSU's representatives.
