Luke Buchanan

President

My name is Luke Buchanan and I am a rising senior at Northwood High School. I enjoy activities such as riding horses and participating in FFA events. I am humble, hard working, and compassionate. My future plans are to attend Virginia Tech to attend vet school. I am also active in 4-H, FBLA, Beta, and French club. This past year, I was the treasurer of FBLA and vice president of the French Club. To me, FFA means to  have passion for others and being a leader.

Kindra Lamie

My name is Kindra Lamie and I am 16 years old. I like to fish, helping my dad garden and cheer and just going outdoors. I want to possibly go to Virginia Tech and become a Veterinarian. FFA to me means hard work, leadership, and also people who push you do to your best.

Owen Prater

My plan after high school is to attend a local community college and transfer to Virginia Tech to major in Agriculture. I am also involved in SCA, Panther Pride, and Upward Bound. Dani Goff

Reporter

I am Dani Goff. I am 17 years old and a rising senior. I am a very good team player and a hard worker. My future plan is to become a Lawyer. My other clubs at this moment are just book club but I am looking to be in more than one other club this coming year. As for my hobbies, they are reading, collecting many different stones, gardening, and many more. FFA means that I get to learn many new things and go to different places that I would not get to learn or see without it. It means I get to find new friends and see many different animals. It also means learning new things and expanding my horizons.

Cody Frye

My name is Cody Frye and I am a rising sophomore. I am committed to FFA values, a good leader and problem solver, and great at conflict resolution. My plan as Sentinel is to greet members and guests with a smile and recruit more members. My hobbies include riding four-wheelers, hunting, and hands on work. FFA to me means hard work and community. Through FFA, I am able to better myself and community. I look forward to serving as the 2023-2024 Northwood Sentinel.

Trevor Kimberlin

Chaplain

I'm Trevor Kimberlin and I grew up on my family's farm. My skills are working on the farm like operating equipment like making hay during the summer and feeding cattle through the winter. I am a rising sophomore. My future plans are to keep my family trucking company going and try to farm for a side job. The only club I'm in is FFA. My hobbies are riding fourwheelers, dirt bikes, and working on the farm. What FFA means to me is to teach young people how important agriculture is and to try to get more kids interested in it.

Samantha Widener

Lacey Crusenberry

Student Advisor

My name is Lacey Crusenberry, I am 16 years old. I am a rising junior at Northwood High School. I play softball, volleyball, and do cheer. I enjoy riding my horse and going fishing. I am in the clubs FFA and FBLA. I am wanting to attend Emory and Henry in the future to possibly major in business and minor in equine studies. For me FFA has made my public speaking skills improve quite a bit. FFA helps with leadership, hard work, responsibility, and a want to get better. I am very grateful for my grandmother who had helped me before she passed. If she hadn’t have I wouldn’t be in FFA much less serving as an officer for the 2023-2024 school year.
