The Golden Pride of the Golden Triangle secured all 1's at marching contest once again for the 37th straight year! This is also the 63rd year the NHS Marching Band has been rated first division in marching since 1958.
Congratulations to these incredible students for continuing this standard of excellence!
The graphic shows all of the football games and marching contests that the band will perform in throughout the fall semester. The city-wide pep rally will be held August 19th at Bulldog Stadium and will begin at 7pm. The band will also perform at school pep rallies each Friday that there is a football game. Times for these pep rallies vary.
Possible playoff games will be scheduled on Friday/Saturday starting the week of November 15. The band will march in at 6:10pm for all home games and will meet at the Central Middle School band hall.
Performance times for the two marching contests in October will be released a few weeks prior to the competition. Once this information is released the directors will post and share information regarding when and where to meet for these dates.
Homecoming (October 3) will also include a parade at 4:00pm that the band will march in. The band will also march in a Christmas parade on December 8th at 6:00pm.
Huge congratulations to all three NHS Bands — Concert, Symphonic, and Honors — for earning unanimous First Division ratings at the Region 10 UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest! Their outstanding performances have earned the band program a coveted UIL Sweepstakes Award, a true testament to their dedication and musical excellence.
Nederland is proud to be one of only two schools at the contest with three separate bands receiving this prestigious honor. Congratulations to these incredible students for upholding and continuing the standard of excellence at NHS!
We are proud to announce that junior Abigail Yanez earned a spot in the 2025 TMEA 5A Symphonic Band on clarinet. Congratulations to Abigail on this incredible accomplishment!

Congratulations to the following members of the Golden Pride of the Golden Triangle for earnings spots in the 2024-2025 All Region Band. They will perform a concert with the Region 10 Band on Saturday, January 18 at the Nederland High School Performing Arts Center.

in the City of Nederland, Texas, and urge each and every citizen of Nederland to recognize and honor the Nederland High School Band for 34 years of straight 1’s at the UIL Marching Contest and for their performance at the April 23, 2022 Lincoln Memorial Centennial ceremony in Washington, D.C. The City of Nederland is extremely proud of the commitment and hard work of these young men and women and their instructors. The Nederland High School Band is a source of pride to our community.
