Stage managers provide support to the pastors, sound engineers, worship team, media team and choir in order to quickly and quietly ensure that every Sunday service runs smoothly from start to finish.
Stage managers keep on eye on everything that goes on stage to make sure that everything is neat, tidy and in the right place as the service progresses. We are also ready to jump in should a problem arise at any point during the service in regards to equipment working properly or objects being moved around the stage so that they are not in the way of not only the people on stage but the eye of the camera as well. After the service is over, we collect the handheld and wireless microphones from the pastors (or guest speaker) and work together with the worship team and sound engineers to put away all the stage equipment and double check that everything has been put away and stored correctly.
Stage managers should be reliable and detail oriented, good at communicating with all the different teams who are serving during the Sunday service, flexible and poised to react quickly if something unexpected happens and ready to solve any problems that might occur on stage.
