This class came together in 2019 in a dream. Our teacher dreamt of a class in which we compete in science competitions and work together as a team to expand our knowledge so we can promote STEAM in our community. Our greatest dream is to foster a love of STEAM thinking in the next generation. These competitions are about anything within science. This class has grown into a space in which students are able to showcase their leadership capabilities, their knowledge in STEAM, and ability to work as a team despite their differences.

Experimental science competes in multiple events. We have won fourth overall in BEST robotics and went nationals. We have gone state for Science Olympiad twice and got fourth and sixth at our regional competitions (placing top three in multiple events). We have gone international three times (placing top three at regionals) with SeaPerch. But winning is not always the objective, the learning is. These competitions taught us a multitude of concepts ranging from teamwork, sportsmanship, work ethic, compromise and perseverance.
