Nicolas Hérault

I am Associate Professor at the Melbourne Institute: Applied Economic & Social Research at the University of Melbourne.

My research interests include the study of income inequality and income mobility, tax and transfer policies, labour market participation and housing. I also have interests in microsimulation modelling and the use and combination of survey and administrative record data to better measure inequality.

I am responsible for the management and development of the Melbourne Institute Tax and Transfer Simulator (MITTS ) and co-editor of the Australian Economic Review.

I am also a Research Fellow of the Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course and of the Global Labor Organization.
