On March 30th, 2022, the IEEE NHCE Student Branch visited the Madhu Mansion Charitable Trust, an orphanage for children located at Unit 1 # 8, Madhu Mansion, Doddanekundi, Marathahalli, Bengaluru. The orphanage works towards the social and educational development of each and every child present at the trust. The office bearers of IEEE NHCE SB, IEEE NHCE RAS Chapter, and WIE volunteers took the initiative to give these children an insight into their possible future careers. The extremely welcoming-natured children were given a career counseling session after a brief introduction to the same.
Not only that, but they made sure that the whole session was highly interactive, which led to the young minds sharing dreams and passions with the members.
Following this, various activities and games were conducted that made the visit more fun for the children rather than a monotonous lecture. The members made sure to donate various stationery and books to these children. The volunteers took the initiative to give these children an insight into their possible future careers. The whole visit wasn’t just a learning experience for the children, but also for the members who made sure it was possible and tried to connect with the children on an emotional level.
