INITIATE, DEVELOP AND SUSTAIN THROUGH REVITALIZING SB WITH MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT – 2022

The IEEE Bangalore Section SAC Team and Bangalore Section Young Professionals in collaboration with the IEEE NHCE Student Branch conducted an Orientation Program and Panel Discussion on the 20th of September, 2022. The event started with a welcome address which was followed by the lighting of the lamp ceremony by the speakers and the faculty coordinators. About 300 students attended the program.

After a brief introduction the volunteers of the IEEE NHCE Student Branch began a presentation through which they conveyed to the audience what IEEE is and its purpose. They went on to discuss the significance of the IEEE Bangalore Section and how a few students were volunteers for the same. This was followed by introducing the students to the IEEE NHCE Student Branch, Affinity Groups, Chapters and the events conducted by them as well as a brief overview of the kind of student activities it has to offer.

Lastly, Membership benefits were talked about and the students were made aware of how having an IEEE Student Membership is important to them.

The orientation was followed by a Panel Discussion which had Mr. Raghavendra P, Mr. Chengappa MR, Dr. Debdeep Sarkar, Ms. Nagalekha Ramesh and Mr. Ketan Keshava as the key speakers wherein they discussed with the Chair of IEEE NHCE Student Branch, Peerzada Anzar Azmat about the benefits of being a part of the IEEE community having worked closely with the IEEE Bangalore Section.

Apart from the panel discussion, students were also made familiar with IEEEXtreme, a global 24-hour coding competition along with numerous initiatives of SAC, YP And Bangalore Section. Finally, the speakers of the Panel Discussion were felicitated with a token of gratitude from the IEEE NHCE Student Branch.
