Expert Talk on Cyber Physical Systems

On 13th May 2023, an "Expert Talk on Cyber Physical Systems for Electric Mobility" was conducted at Falconry Hall, New Horizon College of Engineering. The event commenced at 11:00 AM with the gathering of enthusiastic participants, faculty members, and heads of departments. The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed guest speaker, Dr. Prasant Misra, a Senior Scientist at TCS Research, who also holds the position of Chair for IEEE Computer Society, Bangalore Section.

The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Dr. Prasant Misra, along with the Chapter Advisor, Dr. S P Manikandan. This was followed by the felicitation of the guest by the Chapter Advisor and Faculty Coordinator Ms. Meera Chowdary.

Ms. Neera Choudhary introduced the guest speaker, Mr. Prasant Misra, emphasising his expertise. Mr. Misra presented a captivating example of Amazon's delivery systems, highlighting the importance of cyber-physical systems in electric mobility. He discussed communication networks, sensors, control algorithms, and data analytics in relation to electric mobility. Valuable insights were shared regarding applications like smart charging infrastructure, vehicle-to-grid communication, and autonomous vehicle control. Ongoing research projects were also showcased, highlighting advancements and future possibilities in the field.
