The IEEE NHCE Student Branch on the 14^th of November organized a Book Donation Drive on the occasion of Children’s Day. The event started with the volunteers putting up a stand in campus to collect all books to be donated by the college students.

The expectations were all surpassed when the grand total came to more than 100 books in a single day. In fact, the response was so excellent that the time period for the books to be donated was extended to the next day.

After this, the volunteers organized a visit to the Doddabanahalli Government School Library, where all the books collected were sorted and arranged for the children to use. Higher level books were stored in the library for future use. Not just that but they also met the children at the school and interacted with them about the various books they would be using.

The entire experience was extremely enlightening for not only the children at the school and the volunteers but also college students who made the decision of helping in the development of the young children by donating their books.
