This app makes it easily possible to track your real-life BeerPong matches. It provides statistics for each game and for your performance over multiple games. Furthermore it allows you to add a next level to the game, where you can arm your cups with items.
Due to the reason that most of the parts of the app are self-explanatory we will focus in this documentation on the following topics:
Before you start to track your first Beer-Pong match, you should create a user with your name. This is possible in the global statistics, which can be accessed in the main menu with the graph button. To add a user you simply have to press the green "+". Enter your name in the following dialog. Whenever you use this name for a game, these players performance will be added to the statistics after the game automatically.
In the global statistic it is possible to filter the users statistic by time. Except the achievements are always displayed based on all games. It is possible to get bronze, silver and gold medal for each achievement.
The items are adding a new virtual component to the classic BeerPong matches. Cups can be equipped with different types of items, which will activate their effects after a hit of the cup. Items can have positive or negative effects and will be placed once at the beginning of the game. They will be invisible for the opponent team. Here are some examples:
The Present - the hitted cup has to be removed and the other team is allowed to throw the ball again
The Bomb - all of the neighbouring cups have to be removed as well (our advise: put this item in the corner of the cup pyramid)
The Double Agent - the hitted cup has to be removed but the same cup of the opponent team has to be removed as well (if it exists)
The Shield - the cup is protected and will not be removed
Each item is only activated once and only when a ball hits the cup. In the item settings you can specify how many positive and negative itempoints each team has to use. The price of an item is between 1 and 3 itempoints based on the effect.
In the settings menu you can configure your match. You can select the number of cups, balls and re-racks. Furthermore you can decide if you want to allow multiple balls in one cup or if you want to play with items. If you want to get more information about a parameter, please press and hold its name.
In case you have to remove a cup because of a penalty or other reasons, press and hold on a cup. This will open a context menu in which you can remove the cup manually. It is also possible to reactivate cups following the same steps. This allows the players to change the formation of the cups anytime.
If you want to change the active player, press and hold the playername. A context menu will pop up where you can select the next player.
After a game, if the statistics are shown, you can find an "Export" button. This allows you to generate for each player a QR-Code which contains the statistics. Other players can simple use the "Import" button in the global statistics to add these statistics to one of their users. The player name and the user name do not have to be the same. But each game can only be imported once for each user. The Exporting and Importing of games allows you, that only a single player needs to track a game. Every other player can simply import it afterwards on their own smartphones.
The Score value which is shown in the statistic for each player is calculated as follows:
player throws a ball in a cup -> score: +1
ball bounced on the table before hitting cup -> score: +1
if the cup was the last cup -> score: +1
if a ball was already inside the cup (only possible with setting "Multiple Balls in One Cup" enabled) -> score: +1
if player scored in previous move already -> score: +0.5 for each hit in a row
Example:
If a player throws the ball in a cup with a bounce shot he will get the following score added:
score = hit + bounce = +2
If the same player strikes again with his next throw in a cup that contains already a ball, his score will be increased by:
score = hit + ball Inside already + previous throw scored = +2.5
If you have ideas how this calculation could be improved, please contact us via Feedback in the PlayStore or by mail (max.germer93@gmail.com).
Here are more information about the labels in the radar chart in the global statistic:
Hit Rate - this shows how good your hit rate is
Bounced - this shows how often you achieve a bounce shot
Precision - the precision measures your skills in hitting cups without neighbouring cups
Consitency - standard deviation of the hit rate over all games. Basically this shows how much your hit rate varies over multiple games
Endurance - shows how many games you can do in a row (maximum is 6 - more than that is not recommended :D )
Spreading - standard deviation of the number hits per cup overview. Basically this shows if you often hit the same cups or if you hit all of them around the same time (better)
