Welcome to the Counseling Corner at NexTech High School of Grand Rapids!
Our mission: The goal of the NexTech Grand Rapids counseling department is to provide a comprehensive counseling program for our students and is designed to help all students develop and enhance their academic, social, career, and personal strengths in order to become responsible and productive citizens in a global and ever-changing society.
The counselor believes:
- All students can achieve at high levels
- Every student is valuable and is treated with respect and dignity
- All students will have access to high-quality school counseling services, provided by a full-time licensed, professional school counselor
- All students’ ethnic, cultural, racial differences are considered in the design and delivery of school counseling services
- All students can expect that school is a safe and nurturing environment
Meet your counselor!
Ms. Kuczera has been a high school counselor for three years. She started her career at Clear Creek High School in Evergreen, CO and has been at NexTech for one year.
Ms. Kuczera attended Grand Valley State University for her bachelor's degree and Western Michigan University for her master's in School Counseling.
Ms. Kuczera's favorite part of her job is working with students and helping them achieve their personal and academic goals. When Ms. Kuczera isn't at school, she's busy hiking, enjoying any and all outdoor activities, reading, and dreaming up ideas for her future ice cream shop.
