Testing Information

Spring 2019 Testing Schedule

April 9 -SAT for 11th graders; PSAT9 for 9th graders

April 10 - ACT WorkKeys for 11th graders; PSAT10 for 10th graders

April 11 - M-STEP for 11th graders

Students must arrive by 8am on test day to ensure testing begins on time. There are no PM sessions Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

School is normally scheduled for Monday, April 8 and Friday, April 12. Students need to show up on their assigned testing date.

All testing should be completed by 12pm, except for the SAT. This is scheduled to go until 1pm. Please plan accordingly.

NexTech High School of Grand Rapids tests students each spring on the PSAT 9, 10, SAT, ACT Workkeys and M-STEP testing. Students are able to utilize Khan Academy to practice for the PSAT/SAT as well as having access to test preparation at school.

If you are considering college for your post-secondary plans, please make sure you check with the college/university you are interested in attending to see what test(s) they require for admission. Some colleges/universities may prefer the SAT or ACT or either test.

If you are not satisfied with your test score, we highly encourage you to retake the test. There are multiple testing dates throughout the school year and most colleges/universities will accept the highest score.

Students who wish to take the SAT or ACT at other times throughout the school year may register online at the links listed below.

All testing takes place the first two weeks of May.

We highly encourage students to create a CollegeBoard account as this is where all of their PSAT 9, 10, and SAT scores will be housed.

Additionally, all students should create an account on Khan Academy. This website can help your student prepare for and practice test questions for the SAT. Students who spent an average of 20 hours on Khan Academy prior to taking the SAT increased their scores by 115 points. Click on the picture below to sign up for an account today!
