## 1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how NEXAAR Labs handles information when users install or use SmartKeeper Business. SmartKeeper is an offline-first business application intended for shopkeepers, retailers, wholesalers and other business users. It is not designed for children.
## 2. Information handled by SmartKeeper
**Local business information.** The app stores user-created business information on the device, including business settings, products, inventory, customers, suppliers, bills, estimates, purchases, returns, ledgers, payments, expenses, tax information, reports and related records.
**Account information.** When a user signs in for cloud sync, Firebase Phone Authentication may process the verified mobile number and Firebase user identifier. Authorization is based on the verified Firebase identity, not on a mobile number entered in a form.
**Optional cloud-sync information.** Cloud sync is disabled until the user affirmatively enables it. When enabled, SmartKeeper transmits the selected business workspaces and related records to the SmartKeeper cloud service for backup, restoration and supported multi-device use. The service also processes workspace identifiers, schema and app versions, device identifiers, timestamps, sync revisions, idempotency information and limited security/audit metadata.
**Advertising information.** For Free users, Google Mobile Ads may process the Advertising ID, device information, consent choices and ad interaction data to provide, measure and protect advertising. Pro users do not receive in-app banner ads while Pro access is active. Removing ads does not retroactively erase data already processed by an advertising provider.
**Subscription information.** Google Play Billing processes purchases and subscriptions. SmartKeeper may receive purchase and entitlement status required to activate Pro. NEXAAR Labs does not receive the user's complete payment-card details from Google Play.
**Diagnostics and support.** Firebase Crashlytics may process crash and diagnostic information in release builds. If a user contacts support, NEXAAR Labs processes the information included in that support request. Users should never send passwords, OTPs, authentication tokens, payment-card details or encryption keys.
## 3. How information is used
Information is used to provide offline business functions, authenticate accounts, synchronize and restore enabled workspaces, prevent duplicate or conflicting sync operations, activate subscriptions, provide ads to eligible Free users, diagnose failures, protect the service, answer support requests and comply with applicable legal obligations.
NEXAAR Labs does not sell user-created business records and does not use those records to build advertising profiles.
## 4. Service providers and sharing
Information may be processed by service providers only as needed for app functionality, including Google Firebase Authentication and Crashlytics, Google Mobile Ads, Google Play Billing, the SmartKeeper cloud backend and its database/hosting providers, and services selected by the user when exporting, printing or sharing files. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy practices.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a lawful business reorganization subject to appropriate protections.
## 5. Cloud-sync choice and disclosure
Cloud sync is optional. Before the first upload, SmartKeeper explains that business settings, products, inventory, customers, suppliers, bills, purchases, ledgers, payments and related records will be transmitted and stored to enable backup, restoration and multi-device use. Closing the disclosure or pressing Back does not provide consent. The user must select **Enable cloud sync**.
## 6. Security
Production cloud traffic uses HTTPS. The backend verifies Firebase ID tokens and scopes access to the verified Firebase user and owned workspace. Sensitive workspace backup payloads are encrypted by the backend, and server revisions prevent stale devices from silently overwriting newer cloud data. Access is limited, requests are validated and security controls include payload limits, rate limiting and restricted origins. No system is completely risk-free, so users should secure their devices and keep independent backups.
## 7. Retention and deletion
Local records remain on the device until the user deletes them, clears app storage or removes the app, subject to device and backup behavior. Cloud account and workspace records remain until the user requests deletion or they are otherwise removed under operational, security or legal requirements. Cloud-data deletion removes server workspaces and related synchronization/idempotency records. Account deletion removes the cloud account and associated cloud records. Limited provider backups, security logs, legal records or support correspondence may remain for the period required by provider operations, fraud prevention, dispute handling or law.
Deleting a cloud account does not automatically delete local records, user-exported files, copies shared to third parties or Google Play purchase records. Subscription cancellation is a separate action managed through Google Play.
## 8. User choices and rights
Users can keep cloud sync disabled, export local backups, sign out, delete cloud data while retaining the cloud account, delete the cloud account and associated cloud records, or separately delete local business data. Privacy, access, correction, export or deletion questions can be sent to nexaarlabs@gmail.com. Identity verification may be required before acting on an account request.
## 9. Children
SmartKeeper Business is intended for business users and is not directed to children. NEXAAR Labs does not knowingly offer the service for use by children.
## 10. Changes
This policy may be updated when app functions, providers or legal requirements change. The updated date will be shown on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or store listing where appropriate.
