Assessment of Risk
In designing our product, the Newton's First team has held ethics as the tantamount priority. The basic premise of our project is, in fact, inherently an ethical solution to a devastating problem. Since human beings first set foot on the earth, we have been one of the most powerful proponents of climate change on the planet. However, our effect has grown exponentially worse following the industrial revolution and recent population boom. Accordingly, our environment has paid a hefty tole. Global temperatures are rising at alarming rates and dense pollution plagues the word's largest population centers. Although not entirely to blame, the automotive industry has played a leading role in this devastating drama. Until very recently, auto-motives have relied entirely upon the burning of fossil fuels to work. To combat this, our product hopes to take advantage of the inevitable technological renaissance regarding electric vehicles which is soon to occur. Our product aims to alleviate on of the most plaguing issues of electric vehicles, the burden placed upon the vehicles immense battery to power both the motor and electrical systems of the car. Although batteries for electric cars will always be massive with modern technology, our product aims to provide a clean solution to power the car's electrical systems and components while under way, while also channeling any unnecessary power generation to assist the battery with powering the vehicle itself. In doing so, electric vehicle mileage will begin to increase without the addition of more bulky battery cells. This too, in turn, will cause electric vehicles to become more economically viable and increase the rate at which electric cars are adopted into society as a sustainable means of transportation. As the number of electric vehicles adopted into society increases, the amount of greenhouse gas produced by automotive vehicles will begin to drop. This will increase the quality of life especially for those living in densely populated cities as smog will reduce drastically.

Assessment of Context
If our product were to be picked up by a company or other entity and made into a commercial success, the global impact would be rapid and far reaching. Once adopted, the product would quickly be installed into the adopting company’s vehicles and shipped across the globe. It would herald the dawn of a sort of technological renaissance regarding green power in automotive vehicles, particularly electric vehicles. As the product spread, innovation would begin to improve and modify the product such as to achieve maximum efficiencies under harsh conditions and alternative green power solutions to compete directly with the product would be created. This would produce fierce competition between automakers to rapidly adopt the most advanced green energy solutions available in order to make their vehicle better and cheaper than their competitor’s. As this technology is adopted, the era of fossil fuel powered cars will pass swiftly into history, ushering the dawn of a new age reliant upon electric vehicles assisted by green power sources.
For the company that adopted our product, the economic impact would be incredible. The automotive industry is one of the largest and most competitive industries on earth. Companies separated by continents vie to produce the most efficient and desirable vehicles to get a leg up on their competition. Because of this fierce competition, the adoption of our product would guarantee the company a seat at the electric vehicles table as one of the most advanced electric vehicles on the market. While the competition is forced to rely upon the inclusion of bulky batteries to produce kilowatts of power, lightweight turbines could be adopted into the adopting company’s vehicles to produce a more economical and efficient solution to their power needs without impacting the overall drag efficiency of their vehicle due to the placement of the turbines where the radiator usually exists. This would make their vehicle far more marketable and valuable, as customers will race to secure the next generation electric vehicle. Additionally, all markets from fossil fuel vehicles to smartphones are tending in the direction of increased power efficiency. In keeping with this trend, the company will make themselves more valuable as their vehicles outperform those of their competition. This will increase the value of the company tremendously, leading to a huge jump in market value and a windfall of potentially billions of dollars for the investors of their company as their stock soars.
If our product were adopted and made into a commercial success, the environment would rejoice. Since the industrial revolution mankind has been destroying our home world at an exponentially increasing rate. As industry has spread and population has boomed, environmental problems once unheard of are threatening the way of life as we know it. Two of the greatest problems we are facing are pollution and global warming. Within the world’s largest urban population centers, smog has become a serious health problem to inhabitants. In some cities, the smog is so bad you cannot see across rivers and have to wear medical masks just to walk safely outside. Although not entirely to blame, the automotive industry plays an integral part. The shear number of combustion powered vehicles within major cities, as well as the poor airflow due to massive buildings within them causes serious problems due to the exhaust produced by automotive vehicles. However, it is not just the major cities that are affected by the effects of automotive vehicles. Again, although not the entire problem, the automotive industry is a leading proponent in the creation of greenhouse gasses through the fuel burned and exhaled into the atmosphere as exhaust. The recent population boom, and number of vehicles produced to take advantage of it, is having a profound and lasting effect on the environment. Temperatures have risen steadily across the globe in recent years, and are showing no signs of stopping. In order to prevent catastrophes such as the melting of icecaps in coming years due to global hearing, a sustainable alternative must be found. Our product, while not representing the entire solution, represents a part of it that could urge automakers to consider green energy technologies for automotive vehicles. As our product is adopted into electric vehicles, the burden of automotive vehicles on the atmosphere will diminish.
If our product is adopted by a company and turned into a commercial success, society, particularly the subset living in crowded urban centers, will rejoice. Electric vehicles represent an ideal alternative especially in urban environments where electric power sources are already abundant. However, the adoption of electric vehicles has been slow due to their obvious power consumption flaws. Our product aims directly as solving this major woe of modern electric vehicles. Although still requiring the massive battery to move the vehicle from one point to another, the batteries life, and effective car range can be increased by the addition of our product. This will lead to a more easily marketable product, resulting in a faster adoption of electric vehicles into crowded urban centers. However, it is not just crowded urban centers which will rely upon the benefits of our product. Perhaps those living in rural communities with sparse electrical sources from which to charge their vehicles will benefit most. Because fossil fuels are a non-renewable resource, we will inevitably run out of fuel. In order to help ready rural society for the future, electric vehicles must also have the appeal of covering vast distances without the owner worrying about battery life. This, again, is the exact problem our team aims to alleviate.
In summary, after our product is adopted by a company and turned into a commercial success, a technological renaissance of green energy products for automotive vehicles would occur. The company who adopted our product would be at the forefront of this new frontier, and have an obvious advantage over their competitors. This would cause the stock of the company to increase dramatically, producing a windfall for those invested in the company. However, it would also encourage competition across the automotive industry as companies vie to produce the most energy efficient green vehicles. As more of these vehicles are made and adopted into society, the environmental effects long wrought by combustion byproducts will begin to dwindle and decrease, leading to a more healthy atmosphere and helping to mitigate the threats posed by global warming. As the atmosphere improves, so will the quality of life for those living in the bustling urban centers across the globe. However, it will not only be those busy socialites who benefit, but also those living a more peaceful existence in rural communities. As electric vehicle ranges increase, these rural communities will not be stranded and will also benefit as oil prices skyrocket as the amount of oil depletes.
