The Purpose of New Song Church (3S) and the Mokjang
Without a clear purpose, all our efforts risk being wasted.
"Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law." (Proverbs 29:18)
The purpose of New Song Church is to foster worship in large groups (Sunday worship and religious education for the 2nd generation) and in small groups (the mokjang) in service of our vision: Saving, Serving, Sending (3S).
SAVING
New Song Church exists to preach the Gospel to the world and to share discipleship and the Christian life.
Luke 19:10
"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost."
SERVING
New Song Church exists to help members to become disciples of Jesus, who lived a life of service and calls us to do the same.
Mark 10:45
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
SENDING
New Song Church exists to send trained disciples of Jesus to evangelize the world.
John 20:21
Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
To accomplish our vision of 3S, we base all of our activities on the following five values (5C):
Celebration
We celebrate and worship
Cell
The cell group (Mokjang) exists to preach the Gospel and share discipleship and the Christian life.
Children
We offer religious education for parents and children (the 2nd generation).
Community
We serve our local community by spreading the Gospel and conducting acts of Christian charity.
Churches
We plant churches domestically and internationally.
