Highlighting Student Scholarship in History and Religious Studies at the University of Lethbridge
The News Blast from the Past History and Religious Studies Collection is a student-led initiative at the University of Lethbridge. We are dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of both disciplines through the courses students have done. Our mission is to provide a platform for students to share their work through the online sharing of their research, critical analysis, and reviews that explore historical events, figures, and themes across all periods and regions taught by the university. This collection will help promote a vibrant community where curious and aspiring students have an outlet to share their ideas and research with other students and professors in hopes to continue the conversation about the past and the reflections we see today.
We are proud to present its first ever community presentation night, Between Backyards and Borders. Featuring four papers from our Fall and Winter collections that tell historic stories spanning from our own backyards to across the Pacific and Atlantic. Whether you’re a fellow student, faculty, friend or family, or a curious member of the community, we invite you to join us and listen to young undergraduate scholars present their original research.
Galt Museum & Archives | September 18 | 5:00 PM–7:00PM | all ages welcome | registration not required | no cost to attend |
We thank those who have taken the time to submit their work for the upcoming Winter 2025 Edition!
