Zachari Newman- Born and raised in "Downeast" Maine. I grew up hunting and fishing year round, and was fortunate enough to have my Grandfather, Father, and Uncle show me what the outdoors is truly about. It all started when I was really young, I'd go up North to camp with my Dad and Uncle. This was where I experienced my first harvest, and at that moment I knew that my passion for hunting would never go away. I took a "button buck" on youth day and I think my dad was shaking more than I was at the time out of excitement. Those 2 minutes of adrenaline rush will get anyone hooked! These Moments will come and go but the memories last a lifetime! Now I didn't shoot a "wall-hanger", but just the fact that my father and uncle got to be there when it all happened made this event special to me. Now here we are 18 years later my Uncle has kids to show the ropes to, my grandfather retired his rifles due to old age, and my father passed away. Just before my father passed away I asked him what he wanted me to do when I got older. He said "son do what makes you happy", after thinking long and hard about what truly makes me happy I reflected back on my past and how I was fortunate enough to be able to share special moments in the outdoors with my dad. These moments were when I was the happiest growing up and I want others to feel that same feeling. I personally believe it's my turn to be in his shoes and show people what the outdoors has to offer. Yes the massive racks and fat fish are awesome, but hunting goes even deeper than just trophies. I made a lifetime of memories that I will cherish forever with the ones I love. I consider myself lucky to have so many good times growing up with these idols of mine and I want people to experience the feelings I had growing up making unforgettable memories!!
