Sajni Lacey – Learning and Curriculum Support Librarian at the University of British Columbia Okanagan
Sajni ended up in libraries due to a semi-existential crisis when she finished her undergrad and needed somewhere to be until she sorted herself out. She got her MLIS at the University of Western Ontario in 2013. Sajni’s job focuses on information literacy, assessment, and educational technologies, which involves a little bit of everything from curriculum mapping to open educational resources (OER).
Melanie Parlette-Stewart – Blended Learning Librarian at the University of Guelph
Melanie is a librarian by accident, though she’s always loved libraries (she discovered library school when looking at law schools). She got her MLIS at Dalhousie University in 2010. She also has certificates in Intercultural Relations and as a Teacher/Trainer for Online Learning. In her job, she creates and wrangles digital content (videos, LibGuides and more) to support the Digital Learning Commons, Information Literacy, and larger library initiatives. Where research and practice are concerned, she gets pretty excited about digital literacy and media, mentorship, and the pleasure reading habits of undergraduate students. She also loves fashion and curates the sartorial expressions of librarians at what the librarian wore.
