_____Uniform Leave Rules_____
Purpose: To establish clear guidelines for student leave, ensuring that attendance and participation remain consistent while accommodating necessary absences.
Leave Types:
Excused Leave: This includes absences due to illness, medical appointments, family emergencies, or other valid reasons. A parent or guardian must notify the school in advance, whenever possible.
Unexcused Leave: Absences without prior notification or valid reason will be classified as unexcused and may affect attendance records.
Notification Procedures:
Advance Notice: Parents/guardians should inform the school of any planned absences at least 24 hours in advance, when possible.
Post-Absence Notification: In the event of unexpected absences, a written note or email from a parent/guardian is required upon the student's return.
Leave Limitations:
Students are allowed a maximum of 25 days of excused leave per term. Additional days may require a meeting with school administration.
Consistent attendance is crucial for academic success; therefore, excessive absences, whether excused or unexcused, will be addressed.
Make-Up Work:
Students who miss classes due to excused leave are responsible for obtaining and completing missed assignments. They should consult with teachers within 2 days of returning to school.
Enforcement:
Attendance will be monitored regularly, and parents will be notified if a student’s attendance is a concern.
Continuous failure to adhere to leave rules may result in further discussion with parents/guardians and potential academic consequences.
By following these uniform leave rules, we aim to promote responsibility and support students in maintaining their academic progress while accommodating necessary absences.
