Disciplinary Rules for New Guidance Tutorial School

**Purpose:**

To maintain a respectful and productive learning environment, ensuring that all students feel safe and supported in their educational journey.

**General Conduct:**

1. Respectful Behavior: Students must treat peers, staff, and the learning environment with respect. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.

2. Punctuality: Students are expected to arrive on time for all sessions. Late arrivals disrupt the learning process and may result in disciplinary action.

3. Preparation:  Students should come prepared with necessary materials and completed assignments. Active participation is essential for success.

**Classroom Etiquette:**

1. Listening: Students should listen attentively while others are speaking and raise hands to contribute to discussions.

2. Device Use: Personal electronic devices should be used only for educational purposes during class time, as directed by the instructor.

3. Zero Tolerance for Bullying: Any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination will be addressed immediately and may result in serious consequences.

**Consequences for Violations:**

1. Verbal Warning: For minor infractions, a verbal warning will be given.

2. Written Warning: Repeated offenses may lead to a written warning outlining the behavior and required corrective action.

3. Parent Notification: Serious or repeated violations will result in notifying parents/guardians and may require a meeting to discuss further steps.

4. Suspension/Expulsion: In cases of severe misconduct, suspension or expulsion may be considered, following due process.

**Acknowledgment:**

All students and parents will be required to review and acknowledge these rules at the start of each term to promote a shared commitment to a positive learning environment.
