An ancient way of life has become new again. A modern interpretation of the radical and revolutionary teaching of Jesus Christ means that restoring the Garden of Eden means rejection of the dual tyrannies of church and state and a commitment to community and each other. Therefore, we have everything in common and do our best to ensure that everyone is cared for.
Millenia of false teaching has driven us farther and farther from each other. The world is truly broken. It may take generations to unlearn this and to relearn what it means to honor God in our everyday lives, to restore the Garden of Eden. We do this by making life, work and worship what we do all day, every day. And we do it all together.
We hope to achieve our goal of restoring the Garden by connecting small communities with other small communities so we can share resources and better care for one another.
We get our priorities straight.
First, the community comes before the individual. We love God with all our hearts, all our strength.
Second, we try really hard to enhance the lives of the people around us. We love one another and our neighbors as Jesus has loved us.
All of that may require humility, sacrifice, forgiveness.
Recognize that there is a better way.
Witness by example and teaching
Gradually move from individual to collective ownership beginning with a common table, have everything in common. Move from a transactional economy towards a gift economy. Membership is not a lease and it is not a job. Everyone contribute as they are able. Everyone receive as they have need.
Radical discipleship, devote ourselves to the teaching of the apostles.
Ensure vision alignment through long and thorough member initiation process. Membership is not a right, but a privilege.
Equip members with skills needed to benefit of the community.
Reduce reliance on outside sources for basic needs such as food, clothing, energy, etc.
